AFCO operates the Air Cargo Facility located at 4650 Air Freight Drive, Louisville International Airport. In May 2001 AFCO was awarded the project to renovate a 55,000 s.f. existing cargo facility and develop a new 65,000 s.f. cross-dock facility. AFCO executed 20-year ground leases for both facilities with a re-bid for an additional 10 years on the new facility. Renovation of the existing facility was completed in January 2003 with conventional mortgage financing. Design and construction of the new facility will begin when a tenant is secured.
The Airport is located in Jefferson County, Kentucky, approximately 4 miles from downtown Louisville. Access to the Airport is provided primarily via the interstate highway system with I-264 (Watterson Expressway) bordering the terminal complex on the north and I-65 bordering the Airport on the east
