In March 2005 AFCO, in a joint venture with Quantem FBO Services, LLC, acquired the stock and real estate assets of Byerly Aviation, Inc, and Byerly Avionics Inc. The company at the time of the acquisition already had a sixty plus family run history providing fixed based operational services to customers of the Greater Peoria Regional Airport and the Pekin Municipal Airport, Illinois. As part of the transition AFCO acquired five hangars and a 10,000 sq general aviation terminal with office space.

The acquisition was the first operational FBO undertaking for AFCO and provides a great platform from which to grow and acquire more FBO’s.

Byerly Aviation offers customers a full one stop shop FBO with aircraft charter services under the FAA Part 135 license. The base also offers aircraft sales and brokerage services, aircraft maintenance and avionics, aircraft paint services and aircraft interior refurbishment as well as supplying fuel, both into plane and retail, deicing and hangarage services. The FBO also offers ground support equipment maintenance and refurbishment and sells good quality equipment to the trade. Managed by Geoff Shilton, Vice President and General Manager, Byerly has an experienced and professional staff, this has been recognized by the FAA with the award of the Diamond Award of Excellence 5 years consecutively.

Byerly remains one of the pre eminent Twin Commander Authorized Service Centers offering Honeywell Dash 10 engine conversions and the  renowned Grand Renaissance modifications to this unique aircraft, In addition Byerly also fully supports the King Air range of aircraft and has recently added Cirrus to the impressive list of aircraft supported.

What ever your aviation requirements are Byerly supported by AFCO is confident that we can meet and hopefully exceed your expectations.
