In April 2000 to accommodate Federal Express AFCO constructed a truck staging and employee parking area on 5 1/2 acres completely occupied by Federal Express. Financing of $1,700,000 was provided by a commercial lender specializing in ground lease properties.

Additional truck parking can be developed.

The Airport is intersected by six major highways and is directly accessible via U.S. Highway 183 on the south and Texas State Highway 114 and Interstate I-635 on the north.
