In November 2006, AFCO acquired the Metro Flight Services (Metro Flight) fixed base operation (FBO) that offers fueling, ground handling, passenger services, maintenance and various other services.

The FBO offers customers total fuel solutions, in association with our preferred fuel vendor Epic Aviation a BP fuel supplier. The FBO supplies diesel, autogas as well as Jet A and Avgas, supplying the fuel requirements for general aviation, cargo aircraft, airlines and ground support equipment.

A modern 30,000 sq ft hangar can accommodate Gulfstream sized aircraft. In addition to the hangar the FBO is a 10,000 sq ft facility offering pilot and crew areas, office space and personal assistance with reservations and local attractions, transportation and other services.

The FBO also has separate cargo handling and ground support equipment repair and maintenance facilities, offering customers a wide variety of aviation services. The FBO supports a number of major based and transient customers as well as airlines and cargo companies.

The base is managed by Lee Lancaster Vice President and General Manager with a committed and enthusiastic staff, supported by AFCO in Virginia.
